How to Make a Good Comic Book

One of the most common traditional ways of entertainment are the comic books, the days when televisions and radios are yet to emerge to prominence and easy accessibility in this world of ours. These entertaining books are graphic in the form by which the medium of its reading is through page to page flipping of sketches with the infamous statement boxes. Commonly, comics narrate stories may it be drama, adventure or comedy by which it truly originated from.
In the past, these attracted children considering no gender. However, at the present, comics have expanded its interest to young adults and mature adults.
Surely, being fascinated with how comics were made would be an initial reaction but there are some who wished to publish their own considering their skills in writing and drawing.
Absolutely, if one has the combination of drawing and writing as primary skills comic pages would be easy. However, there are guidelines in making a more effective and appealing sketched narrative.
Let us learn some tips on how to make comic books.
- You should make an outline of your story first. Estimate that the story should at least make 10-15 pages. The story should showcase both actions and dialogue together.
- Comic books must be consistent with how the characters are sketched. You must have early sketches of how the characters must look. You must master also how to maintain the facial structure of the characters with whatever emotion or view, they must take in the story to avoid confusion among readers or not leading them to lose the momentum of entertainment.
- The decision of lay-outing the comic book should be better if you stick on the standards. Most comic books get to have 6 panels per page as the minimum and 9 panels maximum.
- Start sketching the comic and the layouts by using a lead pencil. Bubbles for text dialogues could be inserted ahead even more the text blocks for action description. . You should keep in mind always that drafts are meant to be drawn lightly.
- Recheck and review your comics for errors and modifications before doing the next step.

The usage of glossy papers is very advisable for printing comics except for the cover. The paper must be used for the comic cover should be heavier than the internal pages. After printing, you may have it bound or stapled. The stapling should be done at the center of the open book to have it durable or long-lasting.

That must be something we must always keep inside our head. We can never tell a mere comic fan to make fanning for himself as he ventures to the world of comic making which once was a hobby.
